About Ms. Ria.

Ria Honda is a Japanese-American violinist from Seattle, WA, currently studying at the Juilliard School as a C. V. Starr Doctoral Fellow. As a skilled violinist and musician she is a recipient of many prizes including the 2022 Rohm Music Foundation Scholarship Award and the fourth prize at the Klein International String Competition in 2021. She also recently made appearances at Music@Menlo in California and the Olympic Music Festival in Washington. Ria is dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence among students. She believes that building a strong foundation can cultivate a love for the violin and music.
