Private 1:1 Music Lessons

PIANO . VIOLIN

Although tuition is calculated by how many lessons a student will have in a year (Sept - June), tuition covers more than just the time an instructor spends with a student. Tuition includes individualized lesson plans tailored to each student, an instructor’s training and experience, preparation time, and development of teaching materials (this sometimes includes pieces composed specifically for a student).

Tuition rates are on a “flat-fee schedule”

  • Lessons run based on the school year.  Classes start in September and run through June for a total of 35 lessons within 10 months for the 2024-2025 year. Due to Christmas Breaks and Spring Breaks, some months will have only two or three lessons - Others will have five lessons in a month. In total, Thirty-one lessons will be given through the whole year.

  • Tuition will be prorated for students who enrolled mid-year.

  • Summer Lessons are in session from End of June-August, a la carte, to accommodate for summer breaks/family vacations.

  • Monthly tuition is due by the first lesson of each month (by the 10th day in the month at the latest) in Check, Cash, Venmo (@bayridgestrings) or Zelle (bayridgestrings@gmail.com).

  • 30 minute trial lesson: $40

  • Other fees will include, but are not limited to, Recital Fees ($50), accompaniment fees for violinists, RCM music examination fees and Group Class Fees.
